Day 01: Bali – Bromo (with Lunch)

Ready for a thrilling adventure? Our expert guide is all set to accompany you on an incredible journey to the captivating Bromo area. Brace yourself for an approximately 11-12-hour ride in a comfortable private car, complete with air conditioning to keep you cool and relaxed throughout the trip.
We’ve got a delightful surprise for your taste buds too. During our journey, we’ll make a pit stop at a charming local restaurant for a scrumptious lunch, allowing you to savor the local flavors and refuel for the adventures that lie ahead.
Upon your arrival in the mystical realm of Mount Bromo, you’ll settle in for a one-night stay at a well-appointed hotel within the Tengger region. Your stay promises serenity and comfort, while dinner arrangements will be at your discretion, allowing you to savor the experience at your own pace.
DAY 1 -TIMING ESTIMATION:
- 06.00: Pick up from your hotel in Kuta, Seminyak, Nusa Dua, Sanur or the Ubud area by private car, accompanied by an English-speaking driver.
- 08.30/09.00: Arrive at the Rambut Siwi Temple area. We will stop for a while for a safety blessing, pray and get the holy water from the local priest.
If you want some coffee and a local snack like peanut, banana, or traditional cake available at a local food stall (cost included in the packages). - 09.30: Continue our trip along the west coast of Bali, passing Negara, a small town and National Park West Bali. Sometimes we can see monkeys and deer come out of the jungle.
- 10.45: Estimated arrival at Gilimanuk Ferry Port; grab the ticket and get ready to take a ferry to Java Island.
Note: Please bring your passport. - 11.00: Ferry departure to Ketapang port in Java Island.
- 11.45: Expected arrival on Java Island and we will drive via the north coast, passing Watudodol, Teak Jungle, and Pasir Putih.
(Because Java lies in the West Indonesian Time Zone, it is one hour behind Bali.) As we enter Java, our time is now 10.45 AM Java time. - 14.00–14.30: Lunch break at Pasir Putih Beach.
- 17.30–18.00: Estimated arrival time at the hotel in the Tengger district, near the BROMO area. Hotel check-in, rest, and dinner are available for an additional fee.

Day 02: Bromo Sunrise at Penanjakan (with Breakfast & Lunch)
Route: Hotel – Mount Penanjakan – Banyuwangi
Departure: 03.00 a.m.
Set your alarm for an early 3 AM wake-up call because this is a sunrise experience you won’t want to miss. A rugged 4WD Jeep will whisk you away to the iconic Mount Penanjakan viewpoint, perched on the rim of the Tengger caldera. Here, you’ll witness a sunrise like no other, with the panorama featuring Mount Bromo and the active Mount Semeru in the background.
The interplay of light and shadow as the sun rises, cascading its golden hues from the mountain’s peak down to its base, is simply breathtaking. The caldera’s usual morning mist adds an enchanting touch to this picturesque scene.
Once you’ve soaked in this natural wonder, your adventure continues with a visit to the active Mount Bromo volcano. This lunar-like landscape will leave you in awe of Earth’s geothermal power.
Afterward, it’s time to head back to your hotel, where a hearty breakfast awaits. You can freshen up with a quick shower, pack your belongings, and load up the car for the next leg of your journey to Banyuwangi.
The drive takes approximately 5 hours, with a stop along the way for a satisfying lunch at a local restaurant. You’ll arrive in Banyuwangi in the afternoon, where you’ll spend the night in a comfortable hotel in the Banyuwangi area.
DAY 2 -TIMING ESTIMATION:
- 03.30: Take a non-AC Jeep passing through the sea of sand to climb up to the Pananjakan Peaks (2.770 m) to enjoy the sunrise on the 2600 meters (above sea levels) and panoramic view of Mt. Bromo and Mt. Semeru (higher the peak of Java Island).
If the weather permits, you can see a wonderful panoramic view of Tengger Plateau compound Mt. Bromo (2.329 m) and Mt. Semeru (3.676 m) from here. - 06.00: Jeep going back to the sea sand of Mt. Bromo; taking a horse for 15 minutes to the foot of Bromo Crater by passing through the volcanic sea sand; and then climbing up 250 steps to see Mt. Bromo crater; after that, back to Jeep parking and going back to the hotel.
- 09.00: Have breakfast in the Bromo region hotel and take a little break before resuming our lengthy drive.
- 10.00: Depart from hotel; headed to hotel in Ketapang Area. We will drive back via the north coast for our next adventure to Mount Ijen.
- 13.30: Having lunch.
- 18.00 – Arrive at Ketapang area for check in the hotel, resting and dinner at the hotel on personal extra payment.

Day 03: The Ijen Blue Flames Adventure (with Breakfast & Lunch)

At midnight, your unforgettable journey begins with a rugged 4WD Jeep ride to the village of Licin, proceeding to the slopes of Mount Ijen. The scenic route takes you through lush plantations and pristine rainforests, a unique gem of Java’s natural beauty, for an hour-long drive from your hotel.
A 1 to 1.5-hour trek brings you to the summit of Ijen Crater, treating you to breathtaking natural vistas, fresh mountain air, and shade along the way. At 2,883 meters above sea level, you’ll stand on the crater’s edge, overlooking a sulphate lake that mirrors the surrounding scenery, creating a surreal, dreamlike scene.
Here, you’ll witness the remarkable resilience of sulphur miners, who navigate perilous paths along the crater’s edge, carrying up to 80 kilograms of sulphur. It’s a testament to their strength, making their work both awe-inspiring and heart-wrenching.
But the Ijen Crater is not only about human endeavors; it’s a showcase of nature’s sublime beauty. After taking in this captivating sight, you’ll descend the slopes of Mount Ijen, where your vehicle awaits at the parking area, ready to take you back to the hotel for a well-deserved breakfast.
With breakfast enjoyed and check-out completed, your journey continues as you head back to Bali, carrying with you the indelible memories of this extraordinary adventure.
DAY 3 – TIMING ESTIMATION:
- 00.00: Depart from your hotel by 4-wheel Jeep (non-AC)
- 01.30: Arrive at the parking/hiking base camp and have tea or coffee at the local food stall (included in the package).
- 02.00: Start Hiking.
- 03.30–04.00: reach the peak and walk down to the lake crate to see the blue fire flame.
NOTE: The trek down to the lake crater is very difficult; it is sandy and stony and requires extra good stamina. Seeing the blue fire depends on our luck. And we will spend the time until dawn taking some photos in many spots. - 06.00: Walk up back to the peak for about 45 minutes (subject to your stamina).
- 07.00: Arrive back at the peak to take photos from the top in different spots.
- 07.30: Walk back down the parking/hiking base camp.
- 09.00: Get on board our jeep and transfer back to the hotel.
- 10.30: Arrive at the hotel for breakfast, showers, and changes.
- 11.30: Check out of the hotel.
- 11.40: Reach Ketapang ferry port and grab the return ticket to Bali.
- 13.00: Estimated arrival at Gilimanuk Bali ferry port (as Bali time is 1 hour earlier, we arrive in Bali at 14.00)
- 14.30: Having lunch at a local resto.
- 19.00–20.00: Estimated arrival back at your hotel in Bali
