Day 01: Overland Adventure from Nusa Dua Bali to Mount Bromo (with Lunch)

Route: Nusa Dua → Bali West Coast → Rambut Siwi → West Bali National Park → Gilimanuk Ferry Port → Ketapang Port → Watudodol → Baluran → Situbondo → Pasir Putih Beach → Probolinggo → Sukapura → Cemoro Lawang Hamlet (Bromo).

• Pick-up Time: 05:00 AM – 05:30 AM (Highly recommended to start early to avoid Bali’s morning traffic and catch the morning ferry). Final pick-up time will be adjusted based on your hotel location. Guests staying in West Bali may enjoy a slightly later pick-up.

DAY 1 – TIMING ESTIMATION:

• 06:00 WITA – Hotel Pick-up (Nusa Dua Area)
  Depart from your hotel in a private, comfortable air-conditioned car. The journey will take you through the scenic West Bali route, offering views of lush rice terraces, beautiful beaches, and West Bali National Park.
• 08:30 – 09:00 WITA – Coffee Break at Rambut Siwi
  Arrive at the Rambut Siwi rest area. Enjoy a complimentary coffee or tea break accompanied by local snacks (peanuts, bananas, or traditional cakes) at a local food stall (included).
• 09:30 WITA – Scenic Drive to the Coast
  Continue the drive along Bali’s west coast, passing through the town of Negara and West Bali National Park. Keep an eye out, as you might spot wild monkeys or deer near the jungle borders.
• 10:45 WITA – Arrival at Gilimanuk Ferry Port
  Arrive at the port, collect your ferry tickets, and prepare to cross to Java Island.

• 11:00 WITA – Ferry Crossing to Java
  The ferry departs from Gilimanuk Harbour (Bali) heading toward Ketapang Port (East Java).
• 11:45 WIB (Java Time) – Welcome to Java Island
  Arrive at Ketapang Port. The journey continues along the north coast of East Java, passing Watudodol, the scenic Teak Jungle, and Pasir Putih.
• 14:00 – 14:30 WIB – Lunch & Photo Stop
  Enjoy a local lunch at a nearby restaurant. If time permits, we will make a short stop at Pasir Putih Beach for a quick photo session.
• 17:30 – 18:00 WIB – Arrival in Bromo & Hotel Check-in
  Estimated arrival at your hotel/homestay in the Tengger district near Mount Bromo. Check-in, settle in, and rest for the early morning trek. (Dinner is at your own personal expense.)

Day 02: Bromo Sunrise at Penanjakan (with Breakfast & Lunch)

Route: Hotel → Mount Penanjakan → Banyuwangi
Departure: 02.00/03.00 a.m.

Prepare for an awe-inspiring start to your day as you set off in a rugged 4WD Jeep towards Mount Penanjakan, the most iconic vantage point on the rim of the Tengger caldera. As the first light of dawn pierces the horizon, witness a breathtaking sunrise illuminating the surreal landscape of Mount Bromo, Mount Batok, and the towering Mount Semeru—Java’s highest and most formidable volcano. The mystical morning mist often shrouds the valley, casting an otherworldly ambiance over this volcanic wonderland.

With the sunrise spectacle behind you, your adventure continues with an up-close encounter at Mount Bromo’s smoldering crater. Cross the vast Sea of Sand, then either trek up the 250-step ascent or opt for a horseback ride to the crater’s rim. From the top, take in the raw, untamed beauty of this legendary volcano, feeling the earth rumble beneath your feet as sulfurous steam drifts into the sky.

After this thrilling exploration, return to your hotel for a well-earned breakfast and a chance to freshen up. Then, embark on the scenic drive to Banyuwangi, a journey of approximately six hours, with a stop at a local restaurant for a satisfying lunch. Upon reaching Ketapang Harbor, board the ferry back to Bali, bringing an end to your extraordinary adventure through one of Indonesia’s most captivating landscapes.

DAY 2 – TIMING ESTIMATION:

• 02:30 – 03:00 WIB – Midnight Wake-up & Jeep Departure
  Morning pick-up by a classic 4×4 Jeep (non-AC). We will drive across the famous Sea of Sand and head up to the Penanjakan Peaks (2,770m).
• 04:00 WIB – Coffee Break at Penanjakan
  Warm up with a complimentary hot coffee or tea at a local food stall near the viewpoint (included).
• 05:30 WIB – The Magical Bromo Sunrise
  Witness a breathtaking sunrise (weather permitting) over the Tengger Caldera, featuring the iconic landscapes of Mt. Bromo (2,329m) and the majestic Mt. Semeru (3,676m)—the highest peak in Java.
• 07:00 WIB – Heading to the Volcano Base
  Board the Jeep and descend back into the Sea of Sand, heading toward the base of the Bromo volcano.
• 07:30 – 08:30 WIB – Crater Hike & Exploration
  Walk across the volcanic sand (or opt for a local horse ride at your own expense) from Luhur Poten Temple. Climb the 250 concrete steps to stand right on the edge of Mount Bromo’s active crater. Afterward, return to the Jeep parking area.
• 09:00 – 10:00 WIB – Breakfast & Shower
  Return to the hotel for breakfast, a refreshing shower, and check-out preparation.
• 10:30 WIB – Journey Back to Bali
  Hop back into your private car as we begin the long drive back to Ketapang Port.
• 13:30 WIB – Lunch Stop
  Enjoy a complimentary lunch served at a local restaurant (included).
• 18:00 WIB – Boarding the Ferry to Bali
  Arrive at Ketapang Port, secure tickets, and board the ferry back to Bali.
• 20:00 WITA (Bali Time) – Arrival in Bali
  Arrive back at Gilimanuk Port, Bali. Please note that the clock moves 1 hour forward to Bali time. Your driver will transfer you directly back to your hotel.
• 23:30 WITA – Hotel Drop-off (Nusa Dua/Original Pick-up Point)
